Children travelling alone

Children travelling alone

Children traveling with Widerøe can travel alone by plane from the age of 5. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 traveling alone are given a folder with travel information around their necks that they must carry visibly throughout the journey. The folder is issued by the airline at check-in. Children traveling alone and having to change planes are cared for by the airline. With a companion certificate, a parent can accompany children who travel alone domestically all the way to the gates on domestic. Accompanying certificates are issued by the staff at check-in upon presentation of identification with a photo. More information can be found on the Widerøe website.
